Reviews Summary
Users do not like the Crunch Fitness app due to numerous issues including persistent and intrusive notifications prompts, login problems, inaccurate tracking of workouts and check-ins, inability to book classes or log workouts properly, poor technical support, inconsistent functionality across different platforms, and overall user-unfriendly experience.
A "pop up" came up suddenly to prompts to "allow notifications" and states that you can go into settings and change this setting anytime. The ONLY options are "allow" and "not at this time." I went into my settings, and they are set to not allow notifications. Despite this, the pop-up comes up every time I open this app and forces me to make a selection every single time before I can use the app. I am tempted to end my membership with Crunch completely.
Most confusing app ever, horrible descriptions of workouts and none of the workers will help use it or know how to use it please make it usable. I wish I could give it negative stars but that's not an option. Erie location needs app specific training as well as customer service training. It seems like they're just there for a paycheck and don't care about the customers π π
The error handling is at high-school level of sophistication. The usefulness is designed only for the benefit of the marketing. The administration of the app is non-existant, different locations have it set up differently. No real integration with equipment to track reps. No real value. Recommend not installing for privacy sake, thank God this gym still gives access cards, I left my old gym because they demanded I use the app... crunch os a little better... surprise, no cancel membership button.
The app works well enough, but it's a bit frustrating when every time I open the app it asks me to enable notifications. I simply use the app to check into the gym so there's no need for it to send me notifications. It doesn't matter how many times I say no enabling push notifications, it asks every single time. Fix this and it would get 5 stars
Love the gym but the app needs some attention. use the barcode to check into the gym. doesn't register on the app that I did so. create workouts. created three different ones. go back in the app. only one shows. log workouts. sometimes they save. sometimes they don't and even when they do save they don't save all of the exercises that I put into it and saved before getting out of the app. again love the gym. logging in with the app is easy. it would be nice if it actually kept track of it.
When trying to record workouts, it has had me have to reinstall everything more than once, so I stopped using the feature. Does not keep accurate track of all gym visits . Constantly missing days each week. Is convenient to sca. In with my phone. Having all the different equipment listed is great. Just wish it was a little more user friendly.

We are really sorry for the trouble and we appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. We will look into this further!
Honestly, the only reason why I downloaded the app was to participate in activity points and gym rankings, super pointless when it doesn't track right. Will not actually add my points up to accurately say where I am compared to others! I've tried uninstalling and adding the app back, closing it, logging out. This app only shows the points from my last workout, so while others have thousands of points, I sit in the hundreds no matter how often I go. Would not recommend it!
Developer response:
Oh no! We sincerely apologize for the troubles you've had with the app. We'd be happy to take a look into this for you, please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you.
I downloaded the app a month ago or so. Primarily to see when the gym is busy as im in recovery from and injury and don't want to be in there during peak times. I haven't been able to use it once. I keep getting "We're sorry! Something went wrong. Please try again later." Can't log in, can't change password. But I can definitely get emails from them.

Hello, did your problem get resolved? If not, we are here to help you! Please do let us know at [email protected].
Everything about the app seems functional apart from one thing, which I am most concerned about, the check-ins. Many other people have this issue as well as it may seem. For me, I need to keep track of my check-ins for the benefits of a wellness program. However, neither the app nor the desktop website allows me to perform this task. On top of which, Crunch employees apparently are "not allowed to print out a check-in sheet". Please fix this issue, thank you.
Good to do basic things like scan in Barcode scan or class lookup but huge basic flaw. I got pushed out of the App login and it wouldn't take my password. I had to reset it on the website which worked fine but I still couldn't log into the app. Uninstalled and reinstalled app, changed passwords again, etc. It was frustrating until I randomly read a comment saying that the phone app does not take complex passwords (even though the website does!). So you have to use a basic password for the app even though the website requirements are different.
