Reviews Summary
The MyZio app has mixed reviews, with users appreciating its convenience and ease of use over traditional logbooks, but criticizing its lack of connectivity with the monitor, frequent log-in requirements, inadequately sized symptom logs, and poor customer support.
So far, it may as well be a paper notebook. A $500 out-of-pocket device should have Bluetooth capabilities, so it will at least log the date and time of when I pushed the button, and then I can fill in the details later. the tape makes my skin very itchy, but it's staying stuck anyway. I gave it three stars with the hope that it continues to function and do what it's supposed to do.
Dumbest holter monitor I've ever had. It's my 4th in the last 8 years. Previous units were wired or Bluetooth to a dedicated phone. While this unit is nice because it's smaller, there's no connectivity. I always knew if those other models were connected or not. With this unit/app I'm just assuming it's still getting readings. No haptic feedback between app and unit. For all I know, I could have this horribly itchy thing in for 2 weeks and discover it got no readings after the first day.
Changed to 3 because if you leave it running you don't have to keep logging in. They make you sign in just to update your log. When having some sort of episode, making people use cognitive skills when they're potentially hypoxic is not the best way to get an accurate log to a patient's healthcare provider. No "remember me" feature to stay logged in. This restriction is NOT in the patient's best interest. They REALLY want you to choose biometrics. You guys are not getting my finger prints.
I tried to register my Zio to the app and it just keeps saying the number is invalid regardless if I scan it or enter it manually. I attempted to contact customer service to help and can't get ahold of anyone. I tried emailing and they ignored me. So I guess I won't get my results then. Customer service is non-existent and they won't help you if they send you a device with an invalid SN.
The app needs some changes. Your text boxes for custom responses needs to have the number of characters at the least doubled or tripled. Then your time for events need more ranges. Something might last longer than 10 minutes but considerably less than an hour. Maybe add 20 and 40 minutes. And your app coming up asking me what I think of it with the first use is absolutely wrong. How can someone rate the app with it's first use, the beginning of the first use at that.
If you're anything but flat chested, the adhesive won't last more than a day. It is really frustrating. I wish my doctor had access to other options. I'm on my second device, and while it lasted the night with only one corner coming up, any movement pulls the pad up. I'm seriously thinking of super gluing the dang thing down. Customer service was helpful and kind, though. For something that has to last 14 days, you'd think it'd be better engineered. I don't like it. Symptoms are easy to log.
Easy to use, no glitches or speed issues. Worked as needed when I needed it. Only suggestion would be to link it with the monitor so you can see the dates/times you hit the button. I was working for most of it so I'd hit the button, but have customers and couldn't pull my app out to log how I felt. I'd go to do it later but couldn't always remember the times, especially if there were multiple occurrences. It would be nice to see the readings to know it's working too. You really just don't know.
Mix of Love, sprinkle of frustration - SO EASY to input your symptoms without having to fully open the app and if when typing your activities, you make a mistake you can click where to edit instead of having to start over. FRUSTRATING when inputting a symptom, if app closes (call, text, switch apps), you CAN'T resume/save a draft!! Need to allow MORE characters in describing activities/symptoms? Integrate a timeline/log of Button Pushes to allow user to log later when not by phone (ie, driving)
I'm scheduled for using this monitor for 2 weeks, I have just a few days left. So far, the app is very user friendly & very easy to use. My only complaint is the app has spontaneously opened while I'm in another app. This has probably happened at least 10+ times since using the app. To be clear, when this has happened, I had not just clicked the monitor on my chest, this just opens up spontaneously. Thank you.
The app makes you say how long the incident occured, but doesn't wait for you to actually finish having the event. One has to guess how long they think that the cardiac event will last. The app should stay open until the person stops having the event and can record the ending time. Who designed this app, anyway? Also they have loud music on the website that makes it very difficult for hearing impaired people to hear the instructions. Remove the horrendous music, please.
