People have mixed feelings about the Omada app; while many appreciate the support, connectivity with the scale, and assistance in lifestyle changes, they criticize its food tracking capabilities, lack of barcode scanning, sync issues, and sometimes non-responsive customer service.
It's one of the worst food trackers I've ever used. You can't scan things in to see breakdowns of nutrients, which means you have to use multiple apps if that's info you want to track. Love the connectivity with the scale, but not a great tool for anything else.
It should have an option to scan barcodes for food bought at stores, saving time instead of introducing every single item I eat one by one. Also, I can't list my medications because the app doesn't show the meds I have. It's just not a very good app, unfortunately. Basically, I only use it to monitor my weight, lol. hope this improves
Something's wrong with this app. Previous values of weight are missing and the current week is not registering properly either. This one used to be a lot better and consistent in tracking weight, but now it seems nobody is there to support it. Old values are gone and the new ones are getting skipped at random. I'm uninstalling it if it happens one more time this week.
I have been using this app and previous version for just shy of 90 days. Since I have gone to the new version 3 free style Libre sensors, the built-in monitoring graphs in the app have not been working. Look forward to seeing that fixed. I also like the new initial home screen with links to things we monitor and update. I credit this cgm, monitoring, coaches, etc for helping me get my aic under control. It helps me figure out when I get out of kilter and has helped reduce my aic to mid 6s.
The Omada program is great. I am so glad my doctor suggested it. Lots of support, learning, and motivation, and they never make you feel bad for taking things at your pace. My only improvement would be the meal tracker. It's great at first to just get used to tracking, but before long I needed something more comprehensive to track calories and nutrition. I now use another app for that part, but they make a great "team" for me. So glad my health insurance covers this.
I asked a question once and the coach just referred me to a long document (that I had read, but missed the part with my needed info). The coach could have been much more useful by just answering the question so I learned not to ask. I found to connect my continuous monitor the documentation says I need to go through the couch. still waiting to hear back. I think it could be good. there is a lot available
Omada has helped me in many ways. I am now on target to getting control of my type 2 diabetes, have lost 5 lbs. and have much better bp numbers. Omada gives lots os good insight into diet and exercise which is followed up with expert consultation and motivational help. The program is effective and the app...which is the weak spot, is being improved regularly. The digital tools are great! One thing: If I didn't have health insurance, I'd be unable to benefit from such a program.
Awful and not worth the free scale. I've been tracking my weight for more than a year, only to get auto-notified that all of my data is gone and I can't see it in the app anymore. Customer service is non responsive. If you want to track things, go with a more reputable place like Fitbit or Noom.
very confusing to enter program. Nothing is clear and when trying to enter my CGM have spent hours trying to get to right app. the sensor on my arm I followed directions but it did not work like they said on video. Called for assistance, and after over an hour wait was told that there was no one available, and they would expedite a call back that never came. When calling the number back it said it was out of service would given a negative number for a rating but still have to give 1 star.
Recent update took away my weight history. I use to be able to see every single weigh in all the way back to when I received the scale. Now it's only showing one month back and only showing one weigh in per day instead of showing all of them. There's more than one person in my home using the scale and now I can only see one weigh in no matter how many people use the scale. I liked being able to compare where I was a year ago compared to now to determine my progess. Not sure why this was changed
