People are generally dissatisfied with the Leafly app due to a variety of issues such as poor updates, inconsistent information, frequent crashes, and changes that have made it more difficult to navigate and use effectively, although some users find it useful for browsing dispensaries and strain information.
Easy to navigate - especially to find discounted items. And setting up something for pickup is very smooth, indeed. You cannot (&/or should not) spend any money through this app; just easily set up a purchase for pickup, or just browse products.
It is lightning fast. I can see my favourite dispensarie most of the time, except where there are deals on weed. However, I would prefer to have access to then at all times. A dark mode theme would be greatly appreciated, especially when trying to save battery power and eye strain.
Can't be bothered to fix the log in options, I shouldn't be locked out of my account because your app refuses to let me log in to my already existing account. No matter what I do, it is always trying to tell me I can't log in because my email is already attached to an account, as in every time I try to log in your app Always tries to make me a new account!!! It's sad enough that I can't even reliably search for information in your app but the fact that i have been locked out for a year!!!
App opens hundreds of instances of itself. Some features don't work. For example if you were trying to search for a strain and selecting for traits that you want the filter option checks off "want" and "avoid" simultaneously 🫠. I like using this website to look up info on cannabis but the app is just broken and not in a usable state at the moment.
I love leafly. I love browsing the strains and learning from the articles. but the app doesn't really do what it is supposed to yet. it's hard to find strains based on geography, even when I know for a fact that a strain is available and I just want to price compare. it's even harder to find the right deals. and menus and pricing and percentages are often inaccurate. it's not perfect, but it is a great service! keep up the good work!
It would be a better app if it worked consistently. But, it frequently fails to load pages, particularly in the strain database, which should be the least active data on the system and, potentially, cacheable to improve user experience. These days, there is no excuse for an "unable to load page, retry" error (even if you fail a load, you can program better responses than the canned ones).
As a medical user with multiple chronic conditions, it would be beneficial for me to be able to favorite strains by multiple effects and issues. For example, I would like to save a specific strain that others say (or that I think) is good for migraines and is uplifting for me. This feature should allow me to filter by effect and/or issue at once in my favorites as well. It would make my cannabis treatments so much easier to manage. Please consider!
Update. Search functions work properly now. Great source of info, hope to use the "near me" function one day. Would love to see "have tried" and "want to try" functions one day. app has a few little bugs, like it shows 0 results for stuff that you know is there. hoping reinstall will fix. otherwise it's great. very informative reviews of products and where to find them.
This app is so close to being perfect that it's frustrating. The software functions well, but they need to add a "favorite strains" and "Strains I want to try" function. It would be nice if it allowed me to set preferred dispensaries and prioritize information about those locations on the home screen, as well as notifying me when my favorite strains are in stock at preferred dispensaries. It would also be nice if I could set a preferred product type and filter menus by that type by default. It would also be nice if, when viewing strains on a menu I could tap that strain and see strain info/reviews. I also wish I could look up brand names and see what strain they actually are, but I know this isn't entirely up to Leafly to do.
New update threw the menu off, and you can't see if it's even being updated for the dispensary you are viewing. I get updates for security reasons, but why change the interface when it was working good? The product lists were organized before, looks like the individual dispensaries are going to have to edit their menus again. Good job dorks!
