Review Summary
People generally do not like the Fitbit app due to numerous issues such as synchronization problems, inaccurate data tracking, poor user interface updates, and ineffective customer support.
Never manages to synch now. Even by manually pulling down or tapping the synch refresh button. I've tried all the troubleshooting methods and I'm seriously wondering if the app is just botched at this point. And again, say it with me Fitbit: Dark Mode. DARK. MODE. Because there's nothing better than waking up at 4 a.m. to check your stats in bed, and then being absolutely BLINDED by all the white backgrounds in the App!

I was tracking my calories in My Fitness Pal, which is supposedly integrated with Fitbit. It isn't. Don't even bother. It was a major hassle. But the calorie tracker in Fitbit is close enough, so I just use that. Sometimes the tracker just stops in the middle of a workout, with no warning, so there is no record, and that sucks. Sometimes the device won't sync to the app. It's not a seamless experience. :/

Used Fitbit for years and the one major issue with the app is the tracking graphs when viewing a week or month. Once the day changes to Monday or it's the first few days of the month, the graphs are useless because they only display 1 day. If the developer changed those graphs to show the last 7 days or last 30 days instead, those graphs would be much more useful. . . Your response tell me you didn't even read the above. Changed to two stars

Hi, Tony. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Try to force quit the app. Then reboot your mobile device, log back in and try again. Make sure to manually sync your device. I'm hesitant to deduct a star from this app; a half-star option would be more appropriate. In its current state, the app doesn't accurately display water intake on the main screen. Furthermore, when initiating a manual sync, the process often becomes stuck at the final stage. FYI, email support is no longer an option, so should be removed from the list of support on the Play Store.

Same problem as reported on many sites. I added a spin. At first it wouldn't save at all then I called it another exercise it saved that exercise. I went back in and changed the name to spin and resaved it. Now it will not save the calories amount that I'm manually entering from another spin class. This app has gone downhill. I hope they fix it soon. All of this "we are sorry to hear about your issue" isn't helping solve the problem. We need action!!

Hi. Sorry to know this. Try to log out from the Fitbit app, force close it like you're closing some open apps on your phone, and reboot your phone. Please make sure that your Fitbit app and your phone's Android version are all up-to-date. For further assistance, please contact our support team at: https://goo.gle/ContactFitbit
The interaction between the app and the watch are truly horrible. 1. I have gone on multiple walks where my GPS data is tracked fully correctly, I hit done, and then it gets erased. Which really sucks as I would expect it to track it and then sync up with my watch 2. When I go on a walk without my phone, the watch is far off on the distance I traveled - and while the app claims you can edit workout distances, that's just a flat out lie. It will not let me edit that data at all.

Like most every other fitness app, this one falls short of actually being anywhere near accurate. I'm using the app on a Google Pixel Watch 2. And believe it or not, it's even less accurate than the Apple watch equivalent. You're not going to be able to count on this for any sort of sleep tracking. Steps are accurate if you maintain an average gait and you're moving away from your original starting position. If you're just walking circles mowing the yard, it's nowhere near accurate. Usual fail.
Update: I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix the issues below. Now, the only thing I'd love to see is the ability to add a recipe and allow us to add a portion of the recipe. After the most recent Android update, most of the Fitbit pages won't scroll to the top of the page, or the top of the page is cut off. Otherwise , I like the app Google Pixel 9 phone.

Didn't realize I wasn't the only one struggling with the UI issue with the Fitbit nutrition tracker. It's been super annoying trying to track my intake... Might got back to what I used before, it was way easier to track food and never had any of these issues. I also don't know why they changed the weight section, the previous look was way better. Now I'm not even sure if there's a point using Fitbit as opposed to something else.

This app keeps getting worse. They keep getting rid of necessary features and they don't give a $h!t about community input. I tried really hard to get used to the new sleep tracking display but I still hate it. They removed the breastfeeding setting stating that it "had no input on data" despite the fact that it can require an additional 500 calories per day, and logging food has been made next to impossible if you cook at home. I'm looking for something else. Hard pass on paying for Premium.
