Review Summary
Overall, users find the MedBridge GO app helpful for maintaining their physical therapy routine, but there are common complaints about the lack of customization, user interface issues, difficulties with timers and holds, and problems logging exercises or combining programs from multiple providers.
This app could be useful if they allowed you to combine multiple PT exercise programs from multiple providers. But they donβt. So because I am seeing two different physical therapists, I need two accounts, two email addresses, and I need to log out then back in each time. Thatβs ridiculous, and this company needs to do better!
This is an excellent fitness interface, which helps you to understand the necessity of integrating fitness in your daily life! I have physical therapy for balance, and, other core issues, after three bouts with Covid-19! The enrollments exercises that I am being prescribed, will help me get back that quality of life, and, the continuance of these exercises will help me to continue this fitness with the App, after my physical therapy time is over! To improve this App, there should be charting.
Great app to keep you focused on you physical therapy exercise routine. As with everything else, however, there are things that the writers of the App could have perfected, if they would have only used it themselves, which it's obvious by any of it's users that they didn't; example: some exercises repeat for say, the right leg as the left one. The App doesn't seem to take that into account. Also, the use of the "ding sounds" could be easily expanded to help the patient with exercise timing.π€ π
Developer response:
Thank you for your feedback! We do support exercises on both sides of the body in two ways, your provider either needs to add the mirrored version or check the box "add bilateral" that mirrors and adds the exercise. Please ask them to do this for you.
Ugh. I was stoked to use this app when my PT suggested it, but I find the interface pretty frustrating and unintuitive. Some of my exercises were set up incorrectly by my PT, I think, and as a result I logged sessions that aren't accurate. There's absolutely no way for me to edit that myself, which seems ridiculous to me. I also can't edit or customize the exercises myself in any way. I found this to be far from a seamless experience.
Edited: Two issues: 1. the holds timer does not match what I'm supposed to hold it for. 2. I have to un-check items I've already completed when doing multiple sessions. Please change this so we can check items off during each session. Otherwise, I really appreciate this app. This is the 3rd time I've been requested to do PT, and the first time, I've had access to this app. This app has made me accountable for my activities.
The fact that when I first started using the app you could edit your sets, reps and time never did, but now I do cause there are some problems with it and now I can't. And my therapist isn't able to do anything either in the app. Here's a example; I have stretch to hold for 30sec and have 17sec. to do it in and this is not a race. Or way too much time for certain things. Also your body does have 2 sides to it so I might as well work both sides, but It' very hard to get a flow going when you have
MedBridge helps me stay on track and focused during this healing process. I strongly believe in the team that makes this possible for those who just lose track of time or are just busy in other areas of life. What I love most is the count down timer. I'd lose track doing it myself. Recommend this app to help you with further needs as it does for myself.
It's a good start. I think it would be better if there were more running voice commands of a form similar to "rotate, hold 2 3, back" so that you can keep yourself better in sync with the app. It would make it eadier to use by yourself. The "hold" time is not always accurately shown in some of the exercises and not counted out in any of them. An app ug doesn't let you skip over the last rep in the last exercise. It just barely gets the job done.
This app has been an absolute gamechanger for my PT. I've gone to PT at two other times in my life and always struggled to stay consistent. I love the reminders and accountability - I'm on day 27 of my streak and absolutely can feel improvements in my body. I'm so grateful my clinic uses this app! I had an issue with video playback when I switched to my new phone, but I requested help and MedBridge support helped me right away. (Deleting app data and re-entering my program code was all it took.)
Recovering from knee replacement, this app is helping me keep track of the core exercises I have to do. It helps me to focus on each set I need to do, along with a video that shows the exercise to do. Sure, I could just as easily do it without the app, but with the app, I can set up reminders and allow my therapist to see what progress I'm making
