Review Summary
Overall, people have mixed feelings about the 75 Hard app. While many users find it helpful for accountability and tracking progress through the challenge, several users criticize its simplicity, slow loading times, lack of customization, and frequent bugs.
Glorified checklist with fatal privacy flaws! Requires creating account/logging in, impossible to opt out of photos uploaded to the cloud, and collects location data for "analytics", not app features. Login and cloud sync is overkill for a simple app like this. This isn't fitbit where you want to see years of historical data and compare trends, it's a 75 day challenge. The developers should have worked on features like better water tracking and alerts instead of invading the user's privacy!
Developer response:
We understand your concern, but the app doesn't collect personal location data. Google Analytics gathers broad location info. It's a year-long program, not a "challenge". Without an account, progress canβt be restored and we wouldn't be able to find your account to provide support.
Great app! I did 75 hard the first time without using this, now that I'm doing it again I can't believe I didn't π My only complaints (or requests) would be to let me download the pictures taken on the app to my phone, and a way to split up the water tracking! Every 16oz or litre or somewhere equivalent would be super supportive, sometimes just keeping track of the water is more challenging than drinking the water itself. Thanks!

Thanks for the review and sharing your ideas!
I really like having this app so I REMEMBER everything I need to do. Life gets busy and this makes it easier to make sure I accomplish my daily tasks. I did forget once to check something off (I did it, just forgot to mark it) so it has a picture of Andy that pops up asking if I actually completed everything and then if I should continue or start over. That's fine. But now EVERY single time I open the app, this pops up. Kind of annoying hence 4 stars.
Developer response:
Thanks! If you're seeing the screen asking if you completed the day that just means you're a day behind. After you confirm that you're on track, it's taking you to yesterday. Mark everything complete, then it will switch to today's list for you to complete today and stop asking if you completed everything. Please contact support with any questions.
This app was what held me accountable during this program. It's simple design makes it super easy to use with the visualizations to keep you on track. There were some days I really, really didnt want to do the tasks. But getting the reminders and seeing the day go from white to red was in itself rewarding.11/11/20 update: I had the issue with the app that I hadnt completed a previous day after I changed my end of day time. I contacted support and I received a within 24 hrs. 5 stars for help too!

Hi Jenn, thank you very much for your 5-star review!! We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed the app. If there is anything we can do for you, just let us know at https://44sevenmedia.com/app-support/ ! Have a wonderful day!
I love the app for its simplicity in tracking daily progress. All it is, is an all-or-nothing checklist - but that's the beauty of it. The point of the program being self-motivation and mental toughness, the app doesn't need to be anything more. I use other apps for tracking nutrition and workouts. It would be great to see 75Hard integrate with Strava, Garmin, Strong, or other workout tracking apps, or with CarbManager, 1st Phorm or other macro trackers. For now, I just keep all apps together in one folder on my Android and click from one to the other as I progress through the day.
This app is ok. I like that I can track my progress through the challenge and that I can set reminders. However, it is very slow to load on my Android phone. Also, about a week ago, I fell asleep without marking a task completed. The next morning, I had the question about "What happened?" I marked that I had finished the task and was going to continue. Now that prompt comes up every single time I open the app. I've completed every task and it still pops up when I open the app several times a day

Hi Juliet, thank you for the review! This issue is caused when you change your end of day time to a later time after your day has already ended, and ignore the warning message telling you what the outcome of your change will be. You can find steps to get back on track on our support page here: https://44sevenmedia.com/app-support/
It's almost exclusively a checklist with a list of the basic rules. It has a link taking you online for some other stuff, but I wanted the app to get all my information one place. I tried browsing the app to find different features and accidentally started the challenge. It did not have any option to end it without telling me "you failed" and tracking it as so in the app. A 500 character review limit is inadequate to describe all problems. Overall, this app failed and I heavily regret buying it.
The app doesn't allow you to add more reminders or alert for each daily goal. I wish it gave more ways to customize alerts. Also, it takes forever to open. Idk why but I have to exit and open the app a few times before it allows me view the daily list. I wish I could transfer or connect to other fitness apps within the app or transfer data that way. It was go in theory but I guess I could do this same thing on my calendar instead with more features sadly.
Waist of money, it really is just a checklist, that if you don't check one thing off it resets. You can basically do the same thing on a notes app. Cost way too much for that. I was hoping for at least some way to connect to others doing the challenge. But nothing. The challenge is hard though... But can u make it a step harder and just do it yourself daily for free...? I think so.
App is very basic. There is no way to look at all of your photos before you have hit the 75 day mark. I failed my first attempt after day 13 but I can't see the photos I took from that attempt. Where do they go? I wish I could flip back to see my progress photos in the middle of the challenge for motivation. The app is also extremely extremely slow to open (I don't have this problem with any other app)
