Review Summary
People generally do not like the Aetna Health app, as most reviews highlight numerous technical issues, difficulty in navigation, frequent login problems, and limited functionality, making the app frustrating and often unusable.
I haven't been able to sign into the app for over a month. It always just says "technical issues" . Can't get into the member website either. I cant access my insurance cards or anything. I dont know whats happening but this is extremely frustrating. I've tried numerous different browsers. Un-installed and reinstalled. Can't get into anything. If I could give this zero stars I would because this is absolutely ridiculous

Good start & looking forward to improvements. I use the app primarily to pay my bills. I like having them all in one place vs paying each provider separately. I would love to be able to save my credit card information in the app instead of reentering it each time and to see that zero balance is due when I have paid outside of the app. provider search doesn't include all primary care dr options. medical info needs more details (ex: one vaccine category is simply "vaccine". not super informative.

Edit: Tried again about a week later and the app seemed to work. About as standard as health apps go. Wish I had the option to save my ID cards rather than just screenshotting but otherwise gives pretty good information about my plan and all. It's nice to be able to view both dental and vision plans in one place. OLD: Can't even open it on Pixel 3 / Android 10. Just a blank white screen.

It gives the highlights to the plan which is helpful for quick questions while on the go or as an easy way to go to the website. I didn't give a higher rating because the app gives an error when you try to request an id card- it's really frustrating because I don't want to call when the app literally tells you that you can.
I've been using this app for a while, it was "usable" for a a good time. It was slow, sometimes unresponsive. But as of lately the app won't even load! Every time I open the app it get stuck on the green refresh arrow. I've cleared the cache/data, and uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. At this point I'm using the website, which is just as slow as the app.

Don't know what y'all have done to this app, but it's garbage now - specifically, the search function; it doesn't perform a search for specialists and keeps correcting my home address inaccurately. Agree with some other reviews as to the cost, high deductibles, and lack of coverage for labs, imaging, etc, until the aforementioned high assed deductible is met. I mention this to point out that with the amount of money Aetna is raking in, you should be able to afford an app THAT WORKS PROPERLY!
Samsung Galaxy S8: I can't even access this app. All I get are "Please come back soon; we're having technical errors" messages for the past couple of weeks every time I try to login. App is clunky and difficult to navigate; first sends me to Google Play store to download the same app I already have, then prompts for fingerprint scan which always fails, then asks for login and password that also fail. I can login on the website just fine. As of now this app is unusable and rife with bugs

This app is impossible to navigate, does not give you the full menu options, and has the worst search features. For example, primary care doctor is not one of the "quick care" options, and when you search for care the search bar doesn't register certain words to pull up related items ( type in therapist, but no counselors/mental health specialists show up, just literal therapists including physical therapists)...this app needs work. It has a long way to go before it is user friendly.
This is probably one of the worst app experiences I've ever had. Creating an account is an absolute chore. If you want to redo everything many times over only to realize the app only works for select user, definitely give it a try. Horrible app and user experience. Best to do everything on your desktop computer. Even that will frustrate you.
I have deleted the app altogether. After entering my user name and password it would just freeze up, unable to do anything. I received an initial email from Rick ( with Aetna) inquiring about the issue. I responded to Rick but never heard anything back after that initial email. I sent them another email letting them know I was just deleting the app because it stopped working altogether with my Android. This app was a convenience that turned into a headache. So much for convenience.
