Review Summary
People generally dislike the Express Scripts app, citing significant issues with logging in, system errors, poor user interface, unnecessary complexity, frequent crashes, and the need to manually handle outdated medications; however, some users find the app convenient for ordering and refilling prescriptions when it works correctly.
The app won't let me pass the login. It shows my password is correct. It sends me a verification code, I type it in. Then in throws me a "system error" each time. Yet, it let's me login the browser. Honestly, I don't think I'll be using Express Scripts anymore. I gave it a try. It takes way too long for meds to arrive. It says 3-5 business days after processing. Processing takes days. It's not helpful, faster, or easier if I can't get my meds when I need them.
With all the benefits this app and service may seem to have, the downsides seem to far out weigh them. With out fail, every time I am charged I am charged exactly twice. They will not refund it and instead offer it as a credit. This is not viable when your medications are in the hundreds and you attempt save money by using this program. Express Scripts advised I contact PayPal to submit a report despite the fact they can see the double charge. Stick with a pharmacy... No hidden fees ...
I prefer to shop prices on higher priced Scrips. Express is 95% better than other pharmaceutical, but searching saves money! Mail order saves time & travel cost, but postal delivery has been timely, easy to re-order, and orders are very accurate! I feel the bags could be smaller and less paperwork included(save-a-tree)! By phone, Express is GREAT, but I wish they would enable the Digital security code by Text message...rather than or added back along with email confirmation!! BigT
I'm 84 years old. I have tried several times to reset my log in and can't get it to work. There are too many security sequences to go through and it requires a password that I'll never remember. I'm tired of talking to that annoying computer voice to order my rx. All in all, I'm thinking of switching to another store.
The app is satisfactory. It fulfills its intended purpose and is a relatively user-friendly app. However, it can become somewhat cluttered and occasionally confusing by displaying the same medication multiple times. Additionally, it does not automatically remove old medications from view; this must be done manually, which can be frustrating. Hence, the four stars.
Just started using this app so I could sign up for home delivery of my prescription. At the drug store counter the insurance would only provide for 1 month at a time. But home delivery let me get 6 months at a time, for no charge, still 100% covered, so yay! Had problems in app with address verification screens having errors, but when I hit the back arrow through about 4 different address screens, it actually moved forward and processed, so weird but I finally finished the order processing.
Waste of time and just makes you angry. I have tried using this app for over six months now, and I wish I had never downloaded it. The 9/19/23 "update" that was supposed to fix some bugs has done nothing for me, and the app still refuses to even open. Every time I select it, it just crashes. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Even before this, when it was working, I had the same problems as a few other people where every selection and login attempt was met with an error message.
Layout is Confusing. Every time I want to find something, I end up going through all of the screens clicking on things until I find it (which is almost never where I think it should be). Medicine Cabinet only shows counts. Transfer to Home Delivery shows nothing for me. Refills & Renewals only shows meds it knows are ready to be refilled. Order History shows more info but for everything. Needs some logical flow to get from one place to another. List all meds so we know why it's not an option.
This app is as bad as their actual customer service. There's no useful information here, the data that shown for prescription couldn't be more limited. The status is for different order steps is one word, no detail. There's is no live support. When there is a problem, there's no clear indication of what the problem is. If you call you get the exact same information regurgitated; at least until you tell the voice response 3x to speak to an operator. The operator just repeats the same BS.
Makes script ordering and refills easy. I like the auto fill feature making it actually Worry Free. I did have to do follow up on a medication that was not being produced. this was not an ES issue but that of the manufacturer. Generally all others were problem free. With auto fill ES makes direct contact with the Doctor . Good tracking ability for medications so you know when it will arrive.
