Review Summary
People don't generally like the Kardia app, citing issues with functionalities locked behind a subscription, connection problems, and a cumbersome user interface, though some appreciate its core ECG feature.
It has one quirk that bothers me every time I use it. You record your EKG, then when you want to view the tracing of the recording you just made, which is open in front of you, you have to save it, close the screen, go back to recordings to view the one the you just made because you can only view a few seconds of the EKG. Turns out it’s because the App scrolls up/down instead of L/R. If the developer would disable up/down scrolling, you could view the entire EKG

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you're using the device, and we understand your concern. Just to clarify, you don’t need to tap the save button to generate the PDF. You can view your EKG tracing directly without navigating away from the screen.
Since last update, been experiencing issues with reading the EKG/History reports as it is very difficult to have the screen slide over to view all of the report. Even with a 2-finger slide, the report barely moves. The only work around is to download the PDF to view it. Also I wonder where the PDF is stored once I am finished with the viewing?

$99/year upgrade for basic functionality. Upgrade claims useful functionality it does have. "WideQRS" does not determine wideQRS. PVC can be several other things. Often identifies "unclassified" when it can't figure it out. Not worth $99. $99 is required to email. Only useful item is R-R chart, but shouldn't be $99. Haven't tried calling cardiologist, but that could be useful and maybe worth $99. Other benefits have the sense "How can we screw our customer?"
I'm sure the Devs will hate this review but... Take a screenshot and upload it to Grok (or your favorite AI) and have it give you a detailed report save money on the membership. That being said I'll always support the actual product which has helped me immensely. I've used it for years and changed the battery multiple time, never had an issue and used dirt cheap budget phones and expensive phones.
Bought KardiaMobile6L April 2021. I used it a few times to get familiar with it. Then, put it in first aide kit in box for use in case of emergencies. Today, I had some chest pain and tried to use it. The device could not be found. Put a new battery in it, called support, answered their suggested troubleshooting questions, delete app & re-added then try to find device. They said that is all they can do to assist. Don't waste your $ on a device that won't be usable or supported when you need it.
Item was fine with full battery and now won't connect. $150 for what? 01.18.2025 Lost custom tag creation Still need a quick widget. 06.09.2024 Annoying to have to hit 3 buttons before doing the #1 purpose of a quick test. Then confirm it's me every single time. Can't believe there is no fast widget to do exactly what is needed. Allow screenshots. Export better. Export into excel. Stop asking anything. Let us decide the main opening page as test or history. App is meh. Could be a lot better.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your concerns and appreciate your suggestions. In regards to your problem connecting the device, please contact [email protected] if the issue continues. We value your ideas for a quick-access widget, better exports, and customizable pages and will share them with our product team.
Generally a good device and a good App : However there is NO reason why I should have to pay more for certain readings. Especially the one for skipped beats. I feel the price is too high. I'm also blocked from taking screenshots, it's my phone I should be able to do what I want. Both things feel that they are playing with my health for a profit.
After a recent update, on Samsung A54 & S8, the save tag button appears to be to hidden behind the Android navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Still a stressful system to use. Much attempting to sell Kardia services; no sounds when recording starts and stops; reporting steps are disorganized; invalid data (poor contact "artifacts") not marked as such; note space too short (160 characters!?).

The new update is FUBAR. The new interface is clunky and difficult to use. It's cluttered with superfluous stuff. Get back to being an EKG device and not a FitBit. As far as easier navigation, Alivecor should stay out of mapping. They'll navigate you off a cliff. Fortunate to find an earlier version I could go back to.
I've had mine for a little over 2 years (Kardia Mobile). It USED to work great. All of a sudden I can't get it to detect a signal. I've done everything (change battery, check compatibility, try on different compatible devices, etc.) - nothing. Customer service is useless. They can't help me because they can't verify me. I've given them every email address I've ever had and they are unable to identify me (aka verify) so I have to toss this out. Useless.
