Review Summary
People generally like the mySugr - Diabetes Tracker Log app, appreciating its clear presentation, ease of use, and the ability to log and track blood sugar and other health metrics, but many users are frustrated by connectivity issues, limited device compatibility, the lack of integration with other health apps (such as Google Fit), and the paywall for essential features.
app works as advertised. it would be nice if my readings could be available in health connect so other apps could utilize this information like Oura, Withings, Chronometer, MyFitnessPal, or Strava to offer me more focused food choices, specific diets, exercise programs, etc, focused on improving my a1c. as is, this app is designed just simply logging your glucose levels, nothing more. no bells, no whistles. imports steps from google fit, how 2003.
You can now connect to multiple devices (PRO version only), but only to different models, and only from 3 manufacturers. Connects reliably, and unlike some DM apps you can edit/delete entries (essential for any personal healthcare app). Minuses - it says connected to the Google Fit app and data is imported but it doesn't appear to be imported TO anywhere. And only 6 meters listed (from 3 manufacturers) out of dozens, that will connect. If you don't have one of these the app is useless to you.
The app worked well until yesterday. Stopped transferring data from the device to my phone. I tried to reset the Bluetooth, but I had no luck. So, I proceeded to uninstall the app to reinstall to see if that would fix the problem. Now, I can not sign in, nor can I reset my password. I've sent an email to the support with no reply. Also did a question inquiry last evening.
I have used this app since August 2014 & loved it. However, it started "glitching" & crashing a coyolw of weeks ago. I finally uninstalled & reinstalled it after logging out & logging back in. Now, it won't load ALL of my logbook. It crashes while doing so & on 3 different phones. I depend on this app & need it to be reliable. Customer service used to be excellent. I have yet to hear from them after two inquiries in 3 days. This is unacceptable. I NEED my information.
And incredibly helpful app that says it's free, while locking it's most important features behind a paywall. Why are things such as "manual labor" or "carb guessing' and "traveling" not available for free use? Or if you want to reorganize the cells for easier access? Too bad, you need their subscription service. Diabetic care is already expensive enough, I shouldn't have to pay for even basic descriptions on why my sugars are elevated or tanking. Do better.
This app allows me to keep up with my glucose levels. It is synced with my Relion Platinum Smart Meter. I test, and the results appear in the app. You can edit to identify what type of test(fasting, before, or after meals). They have many other options to choose from. It also gives graphs of how your levels are. I took it to my 3 month A1C checkup and my dr. was impressed. She was able to see the deviations and the graphs of my glucose levels.
I am in total love with this app! I can track everything right on my phone: steps, menu, meds, activities, weight,, blood pressure, and, of course, sugar levels. And so much more. A quick look at color and you immediately know if you are high, low, or right in the zone. Very handy for doctor appt be because they can see directly how you are doing. Definitely recommend đź‘Ś. I really wish this would work with my new insurance-imposed OneTouch meter because their app is nowhere near as good as this.
Was working pretty good, but not transferring a reading is spotty. Why isn't there a place to enter short acting insulin? Still does not transfer data to app every time. Will work & then stop for a long period of time. The only way I am able to transfer is to uninstall & reinstall. It works for a short time. Not transfering information. This has been an on and off problem since the beginning. Very frustrating.
Developer response:
Hi 🙂 I'm sorry to hear that. Please contact our support ([email protected]). We are happy to help 💚
I have tried several apps to help manage my glucose and this one is by far the best! Although you can get by with just a basic (free) subscription, the PRO version offers unique features like detailed reports, blood sugar reminders, meal tagging, and access to a bolus calculator. I highly recommend giving this app a try!
Samsung S9 & I had to upgrade to a pixel 9 pro it does pair with my new phone . Finally got it working. Probably my fault had to use a different email & restart everything I'm going to blame Google & being unfamiliar with a new phone it kept defaulting to the wrong email. Seems to work flawlessly all my data transfered complete
