Review Summary
People generally like the Pedi STAT app and find it to be an invaluable resource in pediatric emergencies, although some users have experienced functionality issues after updates, and there are requests for additional features and corrections in drug dosing information.
I began using this app about 3 years ago when I moved to New Zealand. I work in a very rural area w/ no specialty services and no pediatric nurses. We've had some critically ill babies in which time to manage their condition was of the essence. This app has been a godsend in expediting care.
Does not open. Loads forever. Bought the app worked once and ever since all the app does is say pedistat is loading please wait and never actually loads. I've tried reinstalling the app. Restarting my phone and nothing. Waste of $7 which sucks as I've heard all but good things about the app.
Been using it for a long time, no problems prior to update. Now missing some info, first noticed in airway equipment in 12 year old. Blue box should have info under it and nothing is listed. Please look into this!
Amazing customer service! The developer is prompt in responding to your issues! I like the app and have found great use for it this past year from nursing student to now transitioning to the bedside as a nurse! I do recommend this app!!
Worth every dollar you spend to buy it. Nothing beats this app when you are dealing with a seizure or airway when you have minimal support.
I am a paramedic and this ap helps recall dosages and vitals on emergencies. We don't get a lot of pediatric calls so it makes a great reference. I love that you don't need internet access to use it too.
Not working since the update. Just says it'll be moment. Update: contacted pedista and they resolved the issue within a day. Awesome support.
Needs CPR timer - app is great, cpr timer is what i keep coming back to my phone for, though, and there aren't any good ones for androids.
Not bad. Please add LMA sizes. Would also be nice to have a favorites section to be able to aggregate more common meds and equipment I use into one section.
Developer response:
Hi, We've forwarded your feedback to our developers. Thank you for taking out the time to send us your suggestions! We will be adding LMA sizes in addition to I-gels, and are looking at the best ways to allow users to customize favorites.
Great reference for pediatric dosing. I always have it open for peds codes and emergencies
