I can only see half my therapist's face. I thought there was an issue with the app with my current phone, but since I got a new phone it hasn't changed. I brought it up and her camera is perfectly centered. It's been 3 months since I started using this app weekly. Seeing my therapist's facial expressions is important for connection. My app is up-to-date. Otherwise functionality seems fine. Video quality is great.
Started using the app in September and it was working very well for me--completed paperwork in the app, paid invoices in the app, could see availability to schedule appointments without calling the office, could message the therapists in the app. The first week of December, my phone updated to Android 15. Now messaging is nigh impossible! Edit: Recent update fixed the messaging problem.
I've had nothing but trouble with this app. Anytime I sign in to make an appointment there is no appointment tab. When I go to the help center it it show an app that has tabs I have no access to! Not only that but It fails to send in completed documents to my provider. Unbelievably frustrating, and just creates more work. Please fix the bugs.
This used to be a 5-star app. The latest update has caused a few problems: 1. Content loads significantly slower now. So much that I often think the app is hanging and being unresponsive. 2. The back arrow in the upper-left corner does not work. It is nestled within the time display of my phone screen. 3. The messaging section of the app was great, but now it is terrible because the typing field is hidden by the keyboard so I can't see what I am typing to the practitioner.
While this app was fine on my previous phone. It is having issues on the Pixel 9 Pro while using the messaging component. The back button at the top and message box & send button at the bottom are hidden behind the upper and lower panels of the phone. I did try purging the cache and data for the app, then reinstalled with no difference. I can barely get into the message box after multiple attempts, fortunately the back button on my phone works since I can't access the one at the top.
Typing on this app is frustrating. I have to change my keyboard to a floating keyboard to be able to see what I'm typing. As some one mentioned previously it also craps out when trying to open another app. It's really hard to schedule your next appointment when one can't even access their personal or work calendar!
Update: App no longer supports messaging which is all I needed. Old review: App makes me log in entirely too often, allows only a relatively insecure form of 2FA, and it doesn't even remember my email address requiring me to enter it every time I want to log in. Luminello had a lot of problems, but it was better than SimplePractice.
The app overall so far is great. I love that I can make an appointment with my provider on the spot without having to call into an office. The only thing that we have found difficult is that once you are in a video call, you cannot exit to open any other applications on your phone while the call is being made, as the sound cuts out completely and you have to restart the call.

I love the app once I can get to it but even though it is installed and shows up in my Google Play "manage apps" I don't have an icon that shows up anywhere else. This means I have to find a link in my emails or go through Google Play to even get to the app. Because of the massive inconvenience of that I am giving it 1 star.
